05/29/2009  2009 Golden Leaf Award winners honored in Durham
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Pavilion East at Lakeview has been selected as a 2009 Golden Leaf Merit Award Winner in the Commercial Properties category.

The goal of the awards program, co-sponsored by the Durham City/County Appearance Commission and Keep Durham Beautiful, Inc., is to acknowledge and encourage design and maintenance that contributes to the visual beauty, sustainability, and usability of the Durham community.  Judging was done by an independent panel of local professionals representing architecture, landscape architecture, development, and the arts community. Selection criteria included excellence in design of a new development and/or improvement of an existing structure; raising community awareness of the value of good appearance and stewardship; improving the character, environment, or livability of an area; and a commitment to ongoing property maintenance in landscaping, signage, and general upkeep.

05/29/2009 Baxter M. Walker, III, negotiates Beyu Caffe Restaurant lease in Durham, NC
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Baxter M. Walker, III, Associate Vice President, represented Beyu Caffe in lease negotiations for a creative new restaurant opening in the Snow Building on West Main Street in downtown Durham, NC.  Opeing is planned for Fall 2009. 

02/10/2009 Anthony & Co. ONCOR launches Distressed Realty Team
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is addressing the distressed property and loan market by opening a new division that focuses entirely on distressed assets and projects.  Anthony & Co. Asset Services, as the division has been named, helps lenders, developers and investors create effective strategies and solutions to maximize the property's value and returns to its owners.

The team is led my Jim Anthony, Catherine Miller, Bruce Herbert and Jerry Radman, whose combined experience in real estate services exceeds 100 years in many different markets.  The idea come about as Anthony & Co. considered its service offerings and capabilities for lenders and investors facing today's challenging real estate environment.  "Since the late 1970's we have worked in virtually every type of market, product type, and situation, so we bring vast knowledge capital to our clients who are often reluctantly taking over ownership responsibilities today.  We can analyze it, reposition it, manage it, entitle it, and sell it to optimize values," stated Jim Anthony, CEO.  "Anthony & Co. has a long and successful track record of providing the full range of asset services from receivership to entitlement to development and construction to maintenance and property management to disposition in all asset classes.  We do it all as a one stop shop with the goal of maximizing asset values."

Anthony & Co. Asset Services will focus on properties of all types that are not meeting investor expectations as a result of management issues, defaults, debt obligations or valuation.  The division will also focus on market analysis, receivership services, securing unoccupied assets, investor/lender representation and asset disposition.

Anthony & Co. plans to grow the division by hiring more employees as the demands grow.  "There is little doubt that growth will happen, since the demand is growing for our services," says Anthony.  "We understand that our job is to work ourselves out of a job.  That is when we know we have succeeded."

01/28/2009 Kathy Gigac negotiates expansion of Savers Thrift store in Burlington
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Kathy Gigac has negotiated the 6,000 SF lease expansion of the Savers Thrift store at the Burlington Outlet Village.  Kathy represented the landlord in the transaction.

01/21/2009 Kathy Gigac and Lee Holder negotiate Campus North leases
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Kathy Gigac and Lee Holder negotiated Providence Home Care and Staffing Inc. leases at Campus North, located at 807 Spring Forest Road in Raleigh.  Kathy and Lee represented the Landlord in the transaction.

01/21/2009 Kathy Gigac negotiates Famous Footwear and Jockey leases
Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Kathy Gigac negotiated the lease renewals of Jockey, 3,400 SF, and Famous Footwear, 7,000 SF, at the Burlington Outlet Village.  Kathy represented the tenant in the transaction.

01/08/2009 Kathy Gigac negotiates 9,500 SF lease at Burlington Outlet Village
Anthony & Co. ONCOR is pleased to announce that Kathy Gigac negotiated a 9,500 SF lease to SAVERS Thrift Store at Burlington Outlet Village.  SAVERS offers furniture, housewares, clothing and much more.  Kathy also negotiated the lease renewal of Superfly Cycles at the Burlington Outlet Village.
