Anthony & Co Negotiates Sale of Raleigh Medical Center

Anthony & Co. is pleased to announce the $11 million sale of Raleigh Medical Center. This 93,024 square foot medical facility was purchased by Raleigh Medical Center LLC. Jim Anthony, Kathy Gigac and Steve Robinson represented the sellers, BoMcElveen, LLC.


Anthony & Co.Negotiates 7,000 SF Lease

Anthony & Co. is pleased to announce the lease of 7,000 sq.ft. of industrial/warehouse space to "REDDS", a restaurant equipment supplier. The property is located at 907 Ramseur Street in Durham. Sandy Allen negotiated the transaction.


Anthony & Co. Negotiates Sale

Anthony & Co. is pleased to announce the sale of 7110 Sandy Forks Road. This 4,091 sq.ft. car wash situated on 1.22 acres was sold to H. Merritt Enterprises, LLC. Jim Anthony and Kathy Gigac represented the Seller, C&H Associates.



Anthony & Co.'s Lee Holder Negotiates 276,000 SF Industrial Lease

Anthony & Co. is pleased to announce a signficant industrial transaction involving 276,000 sq.ft. of industrial space. GEEP, Inc. was currently the tenant in the108,000 sq.ft. at building at 2710 Weck Drive in the RTP. The next door building, 2910 Weck Dr., consisting of 168,000 sq.ft. had been vacent for over 2 years. In a combination deal, GEEP, Inc., purchased 2710 Weck Drive and leased 2910 Weck Drive for a combined transaction of 276,000 sq.ft.



Anthony & CO. and Interactive Holdings Strike Unique Real Estate Deal for New RTP Headqarters, Triangle-Durham

Locally based Interactive Holdings, LLC (Interactive) has decided to begin building company and employee ownership equity by owning the facility in which it operates. Interactive owns Durham based Presentation Strategies (PStrat) and Cary based Pharmaceutical Strategic Initiatives (PSI). For help navigating the commercial real estate waters, Interactive turned to Jim Anthony, founder of the commercial real estate service company Anthony & Co. The two companies recently closed a uniquely-structured deal on 10 Laboratory Drive, an RTP property owned by the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). Both PStrat and PSI will move their operations to the Laboratory Drive property in December.

The $7.8 Million project has been structured so that the 12-acre property will be owned by United Properties, LLC, which consists of Anthony, Tom Darden and the employees of Interactive. "The end result of this unique real estate transaction is that Interactive and its employee owners will own an initial interest in the property with no cash investment, and will have the opportunity in a few years to buy out the other partners and own the entire campus." said Befus, CEO of Interactive. "Jim Anthony saw our commitment to shared ownership and put together this truly unique opportunity."
Regarding the deal, Anthony said, "Tom and I are looking forward to partnering with Bob and the entire PStrat and PSI teams. This deal perfectly illustrates our mission to help our customers grow their businesses, to create income and wealth and make a positive impact in the community."

Earlier this year, Anthony showed Befus the property, which features two 26,000 sq. ft. buildings. MEMA will lease one of the buildings from United Properties, LLC and PStrat and PSI will base their operations in the other.

"These are beautiful Class A buildings, located on land in a wooded RTP setting that"s secluded and great for creativity," explained Anthony. "It's a bucolic environment for high productivity."




Nations's Top 25 Brokerages Now Include Raleigh Firm, May 2007

ONCOR International, the worldwide real estate partner of Raleigh's Anthony & Co., ranks 7th in the latest National Real Estate Investors (NREI) Top Brokerage survey. Brokers provided to NREI the total dollar value of leasing transactions and global investment sales in 2006. ONCOR International now ranks in the survey's top 10 among commercial real estate powerhouses CB Richard Ellis, The Staubach Company, Cushman & Wakefield and Jones Lang LaSalle.


New York Firm Buys Durham Land, May 2007

TTP III, LLC of New York, NY has purchased a lot and building located at 403 W. Geer Street and 721 Rigsbee Avenue in Durham. Annette Montgomery of Anthony & Co. ONCOR International represented the Buyer in this transaction.


Wireless Firm Leases Space in Durham, May 2007

KCI Wireless of Maryland has leased 15,000 square feet of space at 1301 S. Briggs Avenue in Durham. Sandy Allen of Anthony & Co. represented the Landlord in this transaction.


Big Land Sale in North Durham County, May 2007

Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce the sale of 216 acres of land on Rougemont Road in northern Durham County. Jim Boyd of Anthony & Co. represented both the Buyer and the Seller in this transaction. The Buyer has purchased this property for his personal residential use.


Durham Property Sold to Volunteers of America, May 2007

Anthony & Co. Team takes Second Place in Inaugural WorldQuest for Business Competition, May 2007

The International Affairs Council of North Carolina held its inaugural "WorldQuest for Business" competition on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh. Many local businesses entered teams of four players in the global knowledge competition. Second place went to the team from Anthony & Co. ONCOR International. Team members included Ryan Miller, James Rich, Sarah Stogner, and Creigh Yarbrough. Teams competed in 10 rounds of 10 questions in each round. Categories included: International Organizations, the Global Economy, Current Events, North Carolina and the World, World Capitals, Countries & Cultures, World Geography, People in the News, International Cuisine and World Religions. Prizes went to the top two teams, and everyone was eligible for a number of exciting door prizes.


Traflet Awarded CCIM Designation, May 3, 2007

Don Traflet, Associate Vice President, Anthony & Co. ONCOR International, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis. The Chicago-based CCIM Institute is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Triangle Endo Properties Purchases Medical Office Space, June 2007

New Raleigh Home for American Institute of Health & Fitness, June 2007

Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Bud Doughton has assisted the American Institute of Health & Fitness (AIHF) locate its new site in North Raleigh. AIHF, a new concept in collaborative health care practices, will have it U.S. headquarters off Forum Drive. The new facility, when completed, will contain 175,000 s quare feet on 16 acres with over 30 tenants. Raleigh Office Partners II Buys New Office Space in Brier Creek Area, April 2007

Lee Holder of Anthony & Co. and Toni Benson of Fonville Morisey have teamed to represent Raleigh Office Partners II in its acquisition of a new 10,200 square foot office building at 9320 Focal Point, in the Brier Creek area. Ed Bonley represented the seller in the purchase of the new building located in the ACC Boulevard Flex Park.


Anthony & Co. Negotiates Lease for 12,500SF, April 2007

IAT/Occidental/Wilshire Group has leased the ground floor of Oberlin Place, back-filling the 12,500 sq ft being vacated by Cherokee Investment Partners. The move to the new space will occur on or about May 20, 2007. IAT acquired MCM Corporation's assets in 1998 when the company was put on the market by its major shareholders. Since the acquisition, IAT has acquired several middle market casualty insurance companies around the UsS. As a result of the IAT expansion, Anthony & Co. will take over two small suites on the fourth floor to accommodate the growth of their organization. Jim Anthony of Anthony & Co. handled the lease transaction for the building owners, Oberlin Investors, LLC.

Anthony & Co.'s Annette Montgomery Named to Durham Development Board, March 2007

Anthony & Co. is pleased to announcethat Annette Montgomery, Associate VP, is serving on the Development Review Board (DRB) for City of Durham and Durham County. The board is responsible for site plan and subdivision reviews, based on technical merits meeting ordinance requirements. Montgomery, a long time member of the Durham Open Space and Trails Commission (DOST), was appointed board member in accordance with provisions of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). For a number of years, Montgomery has chaired the Development Review Committee of the DOST.
