To select, acquire and develop a site on which to construct and consolidate over a dozen remote customer service facilities into one 92,000 square foot 24x7 center for Carolina Power and Light Company (now Progress Energy).

Objective
After screening over 100 buildings and sites, we acquired a site, negotiated entitlements, selected the architect, the general contractor, and worked with the team to complete the project on time and on budget.

Opportunities/Challenges
Dozens of developers, landowners, contractors, and different municipalities sought to land this high profile project. Managing so many demanding clients of the company and keeping peace was one of the project's greatest challenges.

Results
We completed the project objective and had the building open and "switched on" the week before Hurricane Fran hit Eastern and Central North Carolina.
