Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Sandy Allen and Frank Quinn, representing Sherron Road Ventures, LLC, sold a 3.54 acre commercial parcel located at the intersection of Rte. 98 and Sherron Road in Durham County, to Walgreens.

Anthony & Co. will also manage 5C Properties' new office within the 5300 Atlantic Avenue building.

Pavilion East at Lakeview, the brand-new upscale mixed-use development across from Duke Hospital, is making room for coffee-and-ice cream powerhouse Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins. The chain's newest Duke area shop has just signed a lease with Pavilion East owner Anthony & Co. Pavilion East's ground-floor retail pavilion at 2608 Erwin Road is already home to TGI Friday's and Chipotle Grill - opening soon. Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins is the largest coffee and baked goods chain in the world. The chain's new location at Pavilion East, directly across from Duke Medical Center, will be part of the fast-growing Pavilion East condo/office/retail complex.
11/09/2007 Durham's Greenfire Development acquires more land, buildings
Durham's Greenfire Development continues to bulk up its commercial real estate portfolio with the purchase of land and buildings at 114, 115 and 118 Hunt St. and 205 Broadway St. in Durham. Ron Perkins of Anthony & Co. led negotiations for the sale of this group of properties to Greenfire. While he was putting the deal together for Greenfire, Perkins leased two of the properties - 118 Hunt St. (5,950 SF) and 205 Broadway St. (2,700 SF) to Terminix Services.

10/05/2007 Auction Direct USA coming to Raleigh
It's a double play by deal-making dynamo Jim Anthony. Like an episode of Trading Spaces, Anthony, Raleigh's commercial real estate mastermind, used his connections to get companies from New York and North Carolina to open up new opportunities in their respective regions.
Victor, NY-based Auction Direct USA, a young, large-scale used car retailing firm in which Anthony is a major investor, will be opening its third superstore business location in the former Hertz Car Sales property at 6701 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Anthony arranged the purchase of the vacant 8.4 acre property which closed Oct 2, 2007 for $5.525 million in a 1031 exchange. He also arranged for a significant venture capital investment in Auction Direct USA which led him to encourage the company to consider a Raleigh location. They came to tour the market six months ago and found a dynamic environment for their business model.
Auction Direct USA has now leased the building long term and will open in approximately six weeks.

Anthony & Co. ONCOR International is pleased to announce that Unique Haven Residential Services is opening an office in Creedmoor and has leased 600 sf of space in Creedmoor Shoppes Shopping Center, 106 W Church St, Creedmoor, NC. Markham-Daniel Residential Appraisers, owned by Buffy Pearce, is relocating from Durham to Creedmoore and has also leased 600 sf of Creedmoor Shoppes space. Ron Perkins of Anthony & Co's Durham office handled negotiations for both transactions.

05/23/2007 Anthony & Co. team takes 2nd Place in Inaugural WorldQuest for Business Competition
The International Affairs Council of North Carolina held its inaugural "WorldQuest for Business" competition on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh. Many local businesses entered teams of four players in the global knowledge competition. Second place went to the team from Anthony & Co. ONCOR International. Team members included Ryan Miller, James Rich, Sarah Stogner, and Creigh Yarbrough.
